WAYNE, Pa., Jan. 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Phoenix Integration, a leading provider of software for engineering automation, integration, and design optimization, today announced that it has formally expanded its presence in Europe to include a new office in Toulouse, France.
Laurent Chec, European Sales Manager, will be at the helm of the Toulouse office, leveraging nearly two decades of expertise in the Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) market to accommodate the rapid adoption of Phoenix Integration's software, including its flagship product PHX ModelCenter®, throughout Europe, across increasingly diverse industries. Laurent will additionally manage both emerging and expanding OEM partnerships with leading Product Data Management (PDM) application providers.
PHX ModelCenter has been successfully implemented by prestigious aerospace companies like The Boeing Company (BA) and Airbus, and is also a key technology asset for leading aerospace research labs like DLR and Onera where it helps aerospace prospective engineers to assess global aircraft performance and define recommendations for future programs.
"Since 2000, we used to integrate in PHX ModelCenter conceptual and preliminary design processes in the frame of several projects regarding future concepts in UAV, airliners, launchers, and now rotorcraft. It gives us more flexibility to update and upgrade design and optimization processes as well as to experiment and validate innovative MDO approaches," said Jean Hermetz, Assistant Director of the System Design and Performances Evaluation Department, and Head of the Aeronautical Systems Research Unit at Onera.
While Phoenix Integration's solutions have been widely adopted by the aerospace and defense industries, new markets -- including ship design, alternative energy, building design, and heavy industries -- have begun to apply Phoenix software to meet simulation driven design needs with great success as well.
